Health visiting drop in:
Every month we have a health visitor who comes along to our stay and play groups. It’s a great opportunity to share any concerns without the hassle of going to the Clinic. We also work in partnership with our health visitors and they are sometimes present at other events.
Midwifery services: (Mondays 10.00 - 4.00)
You may already be aware that the midwife teams run their ante- natal and post-natal clinics at the Centre on a weekly basis.
Speech and language services:
There are times throughout the year when the Speech and language therapist visits the Centre usually in a stay and play group to talk to parents and carers about their Child's progress and answer any questions you might have. They also offer play sessions to promote good practice when encouraging your children to effectively communicate.
Healthy Eating Courses:
We run several healthy eating courses throughout the year to help you manage a healthy diet and create tasty meals on a budget.
Health Visitor weigh in clinic Thursday 12.30 - 3.00
Did you know that you may be entitled to free vitamins and food vouchers for you and your family?
If you think you might be eligible and aren’t already receiving vouchers or vitamins you can pick up a leaflet from your Health Visitor or the Children's Centre office upstairs at Robert Owen. Your completed form will need to be signed by a Health Professional (Midwife, Health Visitor or GP). Alternatively you can pop along any Thursday afternoon from 12.30 – 3.00. The Greenwich square Nursery Nurses will be here for Health advice and baby/child weigh in.
If you already receive vouchers you can obtain your vitamins from the Children’s Centre Office (upstairs)…….. just bring along your vitamin voucher to receive them.
